Welcome to Morocco! Upon arrival, you will be seamlessly transferred to your traditional riad within the ancient medina. The evening is yours to discover the vibrant pulse of Marrakech at the legendary Jemaa el-Fnaa square, a dazzling open-air theater of snake charmers, storytellers, and sizzling food stalls.
Today, you’ll dive deep into the soul of Marrakech with a guided city tour. Discover the opulent Bahia Palace, the historic Saadian Tombs, and the iconic Koutoubia Mosque. Find tranquility in the cobalt-blue hues of the Majorelle Garden before plunging into the labyrinthine souks, a sensory world of fragrant spices, rich textiles, and masterfully crafted handicrafts.
Our journey begins as we depart Marrakech, ascending into the High Atlas Mountains via the breathtaking Tizi n’Tichka Pass. We’ll stop at the legendary Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO-listed kasbah that has starred in Gladiator and Game of Thrones. After exploring this ancient village, we continue our drive to the Dades Valley, where you’ll spend the night surrounded by its dramatic, wind-sculpted rock formations.
After breakfast, our path leads us through the town of Tinghir to the magnificent Todra Gorge, where 300-meter cliffs tower over a tranquil river. By afternoon, we reach Merzouga, the gateway to the Sahara. Here, you’ll trade your vehicle for a camel and embark on an unforgettable sunset trek into the heart of the Erg Chebbi dunes. The day culminates at your luxury desert camp, with a night of Berber music under a spectacular canopy of stars.
Today is dedicated to a full immersion in the Sahara. Your 4×4 adventure will take you to the village of Khamlia to experience soulful Gnawa music, and then to meet resilient nomadic families in their traditional tents. After a day of exploring the vast and varied desert landscapes, you’ll return to your camp for another magical night in the profound silence of the dunes.
An early start is rewarded with a breathtaking sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast, we bid farewell to the desert, stopping at Rissani’s lively traditional market. Our journey continues north through the spectacular Ziz Valley oasis, a stunning ribbon of green palm groves. We’ll arrive in Midelt, a town nestled in the Atlas Mountains, for our overnight stay.
Today’s journey takes us through the Middle Atlas Mountains. We’ll travel through the ancient cedar forests of Azrou, keeping an eye out for the native Barbary apes, and make a stop in Ifrane, often called Morocco’s “Little Switzerland.” By evening, we arrive in the imperial city of Fes, where you’ll check into a beautiful, traditional riad.
Immerse yourself in the cultural and spiritual heart of Morocco with a guided tour of Fes’ UNESCO-listed medina. Your guide will lead you to the historic Al Quaraouiyine University, the iconic Chouara Tanneries, and through a maze of vibrant souks. The tour concludes with a stunning panoramic view of the entire medina from the ancient Marinid Tombs.
Today is yours to explore Fes at your own pace. Revisit a favorite spot in the medina, relax at a traditional hammam, or embark on an optional experience, such as a hands-on Moroccan cooking class, a pottery workshop, or a day trip to the Roman ruins of Volubilis and the imperial city of Meknes.
After a final Moroccan breakfast, we will transfer you to the Fes airport for your departure. You’ll leave with a lifetime of memories, having experienced the incredible diversity and magic of Morocco.
