Your desert adventure begins after breakfast in Ouarzazate. The journey starts with a visit to the historic Ameridil Kasbah within the Skoura oasis, a stunning example of traditional Moroccan architecture. From there, you will travel along the legendary “Road of a Thousand Kasbahs,” passing through the fragrant Rose Valley. The day culminates at the towering Dades Gorges, where you’ll enjoy lunch amid breathtaking views before continuing to Tinghir for dinner and an overnight stay.
After breakfast, your first destination is the awe-inspiring Todra Gorges. Take a walk beneath the 300-meter-high cliffs and through the lush Todra Valley. The route then continues towards the Sahara, passing through the vast Ziz Valley and charming Berber villages like Tinjdad and Erfoud. After a stop for lunch, you will arrive at the edge of the golden Merzouga dunes, where you will dine and stay overnight, preparing for the adventure to come.
Today is dedicated to exploring the wonders of the Erg Chebbi dunes. Your tour will include a visit to Khamlia village to experience the rhythmic beats of Gnawa music, an off-road excursion to a mysterious fossil village, and a special visit with a nomadic Berber family. In the afternoon, you will embark on a camel trek across the dunes to your luxury desert camp. Here, you will witness a mesmerizing sunset, enjoy a traditional dinner, and sleep beneath a sky ablaze with stars.
Awaken early to witness a spectacular desert sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast, you will depart for Ouarzazate, with a first stop at Rissani’s bustling market. The route then leads through the scenic Draa Valley, an endless landscape of ancient kasbahs and lush palm groves.
